Basement of the Dead in Aurora is very memorable. The wait is not all too long thankfully. The best part about the basement is how realistic it is and the originality of the costumes and ambience. The price is worth visiting more than once.

Statesville Haunted Prison in Joliet is decently scary for the first timer, but the staff rarely change the scenery from year to year. If fans get there early, they do not need to wait in line long. The price to scare comparison is pretty decent, especially since it includes two haunted houses for the price of one.

Massacre Haunted House in Montgomery is vivid and offers a long and scary experience worth the price. The actors and animatronics are very realistic, and it rarely seems corny or boring. It is definitely worth the wait and price, especially as the cheapest option of the three.
