Q:What has been your most memorable experience during your high school career?
A: My most memorable experience during high school definitely has to be our spring musicals! Our theater department has grown better every year and it’s truly blessing to be connected with the talented individuals involved.
Q: What extracurriculars have you been a part of and what has been your favorite part of being in them?
A: I have been a part of many extracurriculars, most of them including performance! Like all the choir extracurriculars (Madrigals, chamber, spring musical, les jolie voix), fall play, asian american association, speech team, marching band, NHS, and peer mentors! I just love being involved in so many things and keeping myself busy. Everyone who is a part of these clubs are so welcoming and supportive, it keeps me motivated to welcome others as well. I am constantly inspired by every single member, leader, and sponsor and I wish to be as amazing as they are in the future.
Q: What would you say has been your biggest accomplishment within your four years here?
A: Probably somehow maintaining a steady balance between my personal life and the clubs I am involved in here at east! I was always a procrastinator and still sometimes am, but I feel like without the discipline that these past four years taught me I wouldn’t have learned these time management skills which I’ll definitely need after high school. Another accomplishment I’ve had is that I was able to keep high honor roll and higher than a 5.0 GPA throughout my high school career which feels very rewarding!
Q: What are you looking forward to beyond high school?
A: I am going to be studying choral music education and hopefully becoming a secondary choir teacher after college! So I am looking forward to being someone others can look up to and be inspired by. I have an awesome choir director (shout out to Miss K) and I want to create a similar impact on another person’s life the way she has done for me and a lot of my peers!
Q: What are you going to miss most after graduating?
A: I’m going to miss the underclassmen and my fellow senior friends. They all mean so much to me and have helped me grow into the person I am right now.
Q: What kind of impact do you think you’ve had amongst those in your graduating class and underclassmen?
A: Honestly, I’m not completely sure, but I hope I have been a source of kindness! I always try my best to be considerate and supportive to everyone around me. I want others to see those efforts and apply that to their daily lives as well.
Q: Do you have any advice for future seniors?
A: My advice is to just take it easy. Everything is going to seem overwhelming; college prep, leadership, pressure, etc. Just appreciate the little things because time is limited during your last year of high school!
Q: How would you like to be remembered?
A: I would like to be remembered as someone who is reliable, kind hearted, and hard working. I want to inspire others who have similar passions as me and demonstrate what it means to be a good person.
