O’Brien welcomes all at year’s start

BETTER TODAY
When thinking about the beginning of a school year, I always spend time reflecting on the previous year. While much of the conversation can be dominated by what we all encountered in March, April, and May, we cannot ignore the great successes Plainfield East experienced. Our students and staff engaged in another successful school year. From Athletic accomplishments to a rise in AP Scores, our Bengal Community’s commitment to excellence did not waiver. As we embark on the beginning of Plainfield East High School’s 13th year, many challenges still confront our young adults. It is through challenges, that we develop character and strength. It is through challenges that we develop dignity and respect for all. It is through challenges that we develop appreciation and confidence. Our theme for the 2020-2021 school year is: BETTER TODAY

It is through challenges, that we develop character and strength. It is through challenges that we develop dignity and respect for all. It is through challenges that we develop appreciation and confidence.

We must use these learned traits mentioned above to make it a Better Today for everyone! Plainfield East High School is a special place. Though we are staring down difficult times, I have the utmost trust in our students and staff to continue to lift each other up, maintain a positive attitude, and make it a BETTER TODAY for all they encounter. As I told our staff, while distance can create a physical space, it cannot touch or shape who we are. Plainfield East High School is still a home away from home. Plainfield East High School is still a family! Thank you for your overwhelming support! It means the world to us!
